OUR TEAM

ROBOT BASKETBALL was co-founded by partners Ryan Lobban and Brian Riley in 2017. The Two Bronx natives grew up playing competitive AAU and varsity basketball for Mount St. Michael Academy. Both went on to play at the collegiate level and shortly after got into coaching local youth talent.

RYAN LOBBAN

Director

Born and raised in the Bronx Ryan grew up playing in the AAU circuit and in competitive summer leagues around the city. He continued to play high school basketball at Mt St Michael Academy in the Bronx and at the collegiate level at SUNY Purchase.

While attending college Ryan coached local youth teams and worked basketball camps and clinics. Ryan is now a full-time coach and director of Robot Basketball.

BRIAN RILEY

Assistant Director

A Bronx native, Brian grew up playing in the AAU circuit and in competitive summer leagues throughout New York City. He went on to play high school basketball at Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx in the highly competitive CHSAA and continued his basketball career at the University at Albany.

After college Brian's love for the game led him to coach local youth teams and worked various basketball camps and clinics. Brian is now a full-time coach and director of Robot Basketball.

"As a product of New York City basketball our goal is to teach the kids in our program the game the right way and share with them the opportunities that can come from playing. Basketball has opened many doors for us and we want to pay it forward and open even more doors for the next generation."

Strict workout regiments, conditioning, and encouragement.

Teaching student athletes the fundamentals of the game and developing their basketball IQ.
